Kanti Patel: A Man with a Vision
Mr. Kanti Patel, CEO and President of Jalaram Hotels, Inc. has been hard at work in the hospitality industry for more than 30 years. In 1975, he began managing a hotel in San Francisco which he purchased soon after. During the next four years, Mr. Patel purchased and sold another property in Oregon and in December of 1979, he relocated to St. Augustine, Florida. He continued to build his hospitality legacy by purchasing a motel in St. Augustine.
The Next 20 Years and Beyond
From 1979 until the present, Mr. Patel continued to carefully build his company, Jalaram Hotels Inc. In the St. Augustine area, Mr. Patel faced serious challenges but remained committed to honoring the historical integrity of the hotel properties he purchased and sold. Today, Jalaram Hotels, Inc. own and operate eleven highly successful hotel properties with others under construction. Perhaps the most well-known among these properties is the Hilton Inn-St. Augustine Historic Bayfront; an exciting concept in the creation of a comfortable, elegant hotel integrated into the historic area of the nation's oldest city.
Mr. Patel continues with the same energy and vision that has made him the capable businessman he is today. Future plans include construction and renovation of properties at the rate of at least one per year, continuing for the next decade.
Robert Bechtinger
Vice President, Jalaram Hotels Inc.
Robert Bechtinger began his career in the hotel industry over fifteen years ago. He is highly experienced in all aspects of hotel business development, operations, marketing and sales management. Owning a highly successful management firm as well as his involvement in the hotel industry has developed Mr. Bechtinger's strong entrepreneurial skills. As a management specialist, he specialized in market and financial analysis for mid-size companies. Among the services provided for over 120 client companies were SWOT analysis, capital budgeting, revenue forecasting, break-even analysis, impact studies and efficiency/capacity research related to successful business operations. Before joining Jalaram Hotels, he worked as Regional Director of Sales and Marketing for a highly successful and rapidly growing hotel management group in the Western part of the United States.
- Mr. Bechtinger completed his undergraduate studies in business and science at Nova Southeast University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
- He earned his Masters of Business Administration with Honors at Regis University in Denver, CO.
- Upon relocating to Jacksonville, Florida in 2000, Mr. Bechtinger joined Jalaram Hotels Inc.
As the Vice President of Jalaram Hotels, Inc, Mr. Bechtinger works closely with Mr. Patel toward their goals of excellence in the hospitality industry. His expertise, energy and enthusiasm continue to motivate clients and colleagues alike.
