Chief Operations Officer / COO

Vik Patel is the Chief Operations Officer of Jalaram Hotels. He is responsible for all day-to-day activities and has an integral role in strategically guiding the growth plans of over 10 hotels. Vik is also involved in site identification/development for new franchises in the Northeastern Florida region.

Vik developed his first property in 2006 in Jacksonville, Florida. Since then, he has been involved in multiple renovation and construction projects for brands including Marriott, Hilton, Best Western, and Holiday Inn. Though facing the ongoing challenges that accompany conversions and new construction, Vik remains determined and committed to historical preservation and community integration in each of his projects.

Vik and his father Kanti Patel are dedicated to making history in the St. Augustine and greater Jacksonville area. Vik's expertise reaches far beyond development. Vik has an expertise on the property level in procurement, identifying hotel efficiency, guest satisfaction tracking, revenue management and labor controls.

Joe began his career in the Hospitality Industry in 1984 at the Holiday Inn in New Port Richey, Florida with Landcom Hospitality. Through his 30 year tenure with the Hospitality Industry he has worked with great Hospitality companies such as Impact Hotel Groups, HI Development, Rejoined Landcom Hospitality and Jalaram Hotels Inc. He has extensive Hotel Management knowledge that includes Holiday Inn, Hampton, Hilton, Sheraton, Wingate and Best Western.

Joe joined the Jalaram Hospitality team in 2004 as General Manager when they acquired the Holiday Inn & Suites in St Augustine, FL. In 2010 he was promoted to V.P. of Operations for all Jalaram Hospitality properties. With 30 years of hospitality experience, his responsibilities include training and supporting General Managers, overseeing Sales & Marketing and Human Resources. He works directly with ownership on brand standards to ensure all hotels are in compliance, as well as implementing procedures and policies for all level of management at the hotels.

In his 30 year career Joe has developed a wealth of experience in hotel operations with a focus on training associates with each hotel brand and developing future hotel management personnel.

Senior VP of Revenue / Finance

Sid Dua serves as the Senior Vice President of Revenue Generation at Jalaram Hotels. In his role, he is responsible for overseeing the sales, revenue management and marketing initiatives for the portfolio. He and his team are responsible for sales training, developing strategic plans, brand relations, e-commerce, implementing standards and procedures, forecasting, budgeting, market development and pre-opening functions.

Mr. Sid has over 12 years of experience in the Hospitality Industry. He spent 12 years with Jalaram hotels where he served in various front office and sales roles, Director of Revenue & Operations, General Manager and Regional Director of Sales. Mr. Sid has experience working with Marriott, Hilton and IHG, Best Western hotels brands. As a Director of Revenue & Operations, he was responsible for the opening of two hotels.

Mr. Sid is also responsible for overseeing the treasury, financial planning, analysis and reporting for the company’s portfolio of properties. Mr. Sid has over 10 years of accounting and auditing experience, as well as extensive knowledge of hospitality financial operations.

Sid holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and MBA in Marketing and Finance from the Oklahoma City University.

He initially began his career with Jalaram Hotels more than 24 years ago as a Bar Manager and has progressively worked his way up through positions of varying and increasing responsibilities. As General Manager of the then 200-room Clarion Hotel and Conference Center Jacksonville Airport, Norm led the hotel to be recognized in the top 5% of the brand. Norm's positive disposition, loyalty and analytical skillset are attributes upon which his team relies.
